The Berwick Community Baptist Church (ABN 89529431787), referred to in this privacy policy as the Church, appreciate that privacy is very important. The Church, in compliance with the Privacy Act (2000) has adopted this Privacy Policy as we recognize the right of people to keep their personal information private. This Privacy Policy covers the Church's treatment of personally identifiable information that we collect and store on our web site. Like many other organizations, the Church must comply with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Australian Privacy Act when dealing with personal information.
1. The Information We Collect.
The Church will collect general information about you, such as your name, address, phone numbers, other contact details, family member information, attendance records, accident forms and registers, and various communications such as letters, messages (electronic or otherwise), so that the Church can contact you.
Users can generally visit the Church website without revealing who they are or other personal information unless they log on, or register interest in particular church events with us. The Church will not collect any personal information about visitors to the web site except when they knowingly provide it.
2. How We Use Your Information.
Generally we will only use and disclose your personal information as follows:
(a) to establish and maintain your involvement with the Church, including providing you with newsletters or church information;
(b) to provide any products or services you may have requested from the Church;

3. Access To Your Information.
You can request access to the personal information that the Church holds about you by submitting in writing a request to the church secretary.
Information currently provided in the hard copy Church directory is also available on the Church web site but only accessible via a logon. Logons are only established by the Church once a person's identity is verified and deemed by the Church to be authorized to access this information. If you wish this information not to be accessible via the Church web site, this can be done either by:
(a) changing your personal profile after logging into our Church web site; or
(b) submitting a request in writing to the Church secretary.
